Steven McNamara is originally from the East coast, moved to California where he earned a degree in graphic design from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. He started dancing competitively at the age of 10 receiving judge’s recognition along with regional and national titles. He spent his high school years training in NYC at the renowned Broadway Dance Center under an accomplished staff such as Frank Hatchett, Shelia Barker and Doug Caldwell. He was named one of New Jersey’s top 12 dancers earning him an invitation to the Governor’s School of the Arts for dance. When he is not touring the country adjudicating dance/drill competitions/conventions he teaches and choreographs for studios, high schools and colleges on both the West and East coast. Some of McNamara’s credits include: L.A. Clippers, Bon Jovi’s Max Weinberg, Cabaret For Life, Team Rave NY/LA & Mega Mix Entertainment. Steven’s passion for dance continuously shows through his work and he is excited to share that with his students.
