season 20 – season 21 transition timeline
As we transition from Season 20 to Season 21, take a look at what’s next for your dancer at Hart Academy of Dance! Below is a timeline of the next couple months, followed by information about each time frame.

teACHERS EVALUATE DANCERS & DEPARTMENT HEADS CONDUCT SKILL EVALUATIONS
- Your dancer’s teacher will assess their progress for the entire year and record a level recommendation for our upcoming dance season.
- Ballet, Jazz/Technique, Tap, Hip-Hop, and Acro have a department head that will conduct skill evaluations in class levels 1-4 to confirm your dancer’s placement from their teacher’s recommendation for next season.
- If your dancer has mastered skills and shown significant progress, your child will be recommended to move up to the next level.
- If your dancer needs more time to master skills, you will receive a placement for your child to continue in their current level & additional classes that they may need to improve.
- Every dancer’s journey is completely unique – your dancer may progress at a different rate as their classmates. What is most important to us is situating your child in a position where they are challenged but not overwhelmed and set up to succeed.

level recommendations
- All level placements will be available for the new season by the end of June.
- Our faculty has put a lot of time and thought into each child’s level placement.
- Please remember that most students spend at least 2 years in every level. This is absolutely normal!

rollover registration
- On July 7th, 2026, all active Hart dancers who are registered in July classes will be charged their registration fee for the 26-27 Season.
- If you are not planning on returning in August, there will be a form to fill out to opt out of Rollover Registration. All forms must be completed by July 6th, 2026.

class selections
- August 1 – COMPETITION REGISTRATION – Competition team dancers can begin to register for new season classes.
- You will be able to select your dancer’s classes for our 21ST SEASON during your enrollment stage!
- August 2 – ROLLOVER REGISTRATION – Current Hart dancers can begin to register with Priority Registration.
- August 3 – GENERAL REGISTRATION – New dancers/those who opted out of rollover registration can begin to register for new season classes.
