AUDITION INFORMATION
IMPORTANT AUDITION FACTS
Audition forms need to be filled out and brought to auditions. Please read the team technique requirements and general competition information. This is a commitment from August 2025-July 2026. All dancers on competition teams are required to take a certain number of technique classes as well as be available to perform at ALL competitions and recitals.
AGES 4-6 – At least 1 full year of dance training recommended
AGES 7-9 – At least 2 years of dance training recommended
AGES 10+ – At least 3 years of dance training recommended
ENROLLMENT AND FEES
- Audition fee is $50 for one style and $75 if auditioning for multiple styles. This fee will be charged the day of auditions and is non refundable.
- You must enroll for auditions on the parent portal or website.
- Dancers will be learning combos and performing them as well as doing individual skills.

We recommend that all dancers have dance experience before auditioning. Although we would love to take every student that has auditions, it is very common that a student may need more technique classes before joining our team. If you are concerned or curious if your child is ready, please do not hesitate to your child’s instructor.

| CLASS REQUIREMENTS ☆ “Teams” at Hart Academy are the dance routines that compete in competition. Hip-Hop Team – Hip-Hop & Conditioning Class Tap Team – Tap & Conditioning Class Jazz/MT Team – Technique, Conditioning, and Ballet Class 30 min rehearsal per week for each team dancer is selected for. |
| COMMITMENT INCLUDES • Preliminary Showcase • 3 Regional Competitions (at least 2 with company) • 1 LOCAL National Competition • Community Performances (such as Corn Festival, La Habra Tree Lighting, & Citrus Fair) |
| ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN: • Big Sis/Little Sis Program • Solo, Duo, Trio (Audition Only) |

DRESS CODE: Booty Shorts/Leggings, Crop Top/Full Coverage Sports Bra/Leotard, All Appropriate Dance Shoes
